This client is a moving and relocation services company that had never run a Google Ads campaign before. They wanted to increase their business by generating leads through Google Ads.
They had been in business for over 20 years and were referral-only up until this point. But they needed more business to cover some new overhead.
The Challenge
This client wanted to generate more leads for their international moving business.
They were running ads in various locations. They were getting leads for $450 each via Google ads.
They were still profitable, but they wanted to lower this cost.
The Solution
We decided to rebuild their campaigns, starting with a campaign targeting people moving to Hawaii from the mainland.
With this campaign, we were able to get qualified leads for only $78 each by focusing on high-end keywords that would produce the best ROI.
The Campaign
We ran a search campaign on Google targeting people in the San Diego, CA area who were searching for international moving services.
To optimize the campaign, we focused on high-end keywords that were most likely to result in a sale.
The Methodology: 6-Steps to Success
We began by researching the client’s current website to see what keywords they were targeting.
We then performed research on the local moving and relocation industry in San Diego to see what keywords were being used by their competitors.
Next, we compiled a list of high-intent keywords that we thought would be most effective for the campaign.
These are keywords that signify high buyer intent, such as “international moving services” or “overseas moving quotes”.
We also created ad groups around these keywords and wrote ads specifically for each group.
In addition, we set up conversion tracking so that we could measure the results of the campaign.
The Results
The campaign generated leads for only $78 each, which was a saving of $372 per lead compared to the client’s previous campaign.
In addition, we generated a total of 45 qualified leads for the client within month 1, while spending $3,510, which is a test budget of roughly 10% of their monthly ad spend.
The Return on Investment (ROI)
The client's close rate on those 45 leads was 20% and their average order value (AOV) was $5,700.
This resulted in 9 customers and $53,300 in revenue, yielding an ROI of 1,514% for the month.
To put it another way, this is a 15X RoAS (return on ad spend), meaning for every dollar spent on ads, the client made $15 in return!
