When they approached us, they were looking for a way to continue expanding their business.
The Challenge
This client had never run a Google Ads campaign before and wanted to generate leads for their dog daycare and training service.
They had been relying on referrals and networking events for business development. They needed a steady stream of leads to further expand the business.
The Solution
We decided to run an optimized search campaign on Google, targeting people searching for dog training and daycare in the client's service areas.
We generated qualified leads for less than $50 each by focusing on high-end keywords that would produce the best ROI.
The Campaign
We conducted a Google search campaign focused on individuals in and around Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco who were looking for dog training and daycare services.
We increased the impact of the campaign by concentrating on high-end keywords that were most likely to result in a new customer.
The Methodology: 6-Steps to Success
We began by researching the client’s current website to see what keywords they were targeting.
We then performed research on the local dog daycare and training industry in each of the 3 cities to see what keywords were being used by their competitors.
Next, we compiled a list of high-intent keywords that we thought would be most effective for the campaign. These are keywords that signify high buyer intent, such as “dog daycare near me” or “dog training classes”.
After that, we organized the keywords into ad groups based on similar themes, such as “puppy training” or “dog obedience training”.
Then, we wrote ads specifically for each ad group that would be most relevant to the searcher’s intent.
Finally, we set up conversion tracking so that we could track leads generated from the campaign.***
***This is an important step because it allows us to see which keywords and ads are generating the most leads so that we can further optimize the campaign for better results.
The Results
The campaign generated leads for only $50 each on average, resulting in over 1,100 high-quality leads interested in doggy daycare and training services.
Additionally, the campaign had a click-through rate (CTR) of 3.14%, which is significantly higher than the average CTR of 2%. This means that people were not only seeing the ads, but they were also finding them relevant and clicking on them at a higher rate than average.
The Return on Investment (ROI)
This campaign generated 1,153 leads with a conversion rate of 15%, meaning that 170 people became customers.
The average Doggy Den customer is worth $1,700 in revenue, which means that this campaign generated $289,100 in new customer value. When we take into account the cost of the ads ($57,339), we see that this campaign had an ROI of 505%.
